Due to many customer requests for a still lighter tubular pushrod, Scuderia Topolino now has available a new pushrod that is part of its "Featherweight Valve Train System".  These special pushrods are made form a special Nickel - Chrome - Molybdenum steel, that is then subjected to special "salt bath" heat treating.  The pushrod ends (tip and cup) have also be machined with special undercuts to reduce weight.

The result is a push rod that is 37% lighter than the standard pushrod, and and 30% lighter than the standard Scuderia Topolino pushrod.

Standard Fiat solid shaft pushrod - 55 gram
Scuderia Topolino tubular pushrod - 50 gram
Scuderia Topolino Featherweight pushrod - 35 gram

The tubular construction, special steel and heat treating are all "state-of-the-art" techniques that allow this pushrod to approach the weight of an alloy pushrod, yet have 2-3 times the stiffness of the standard Fiat pushrod.
