Scuderia Topolino - Ti-Tuff^©® Connecting Rods



Scuderia Topolino has officially released it Ti-Tuff^©® line of titanium alloy connecting rods.  Made of  6AL-4V titanium alloy, to the same exacting specifications as the Scuderia Topolino 4340 connecting rod, this is the lightest connecting rod available at 240 grams per rod.  This is a 40% reduction in weight over the lightest steel connecting rod available.  Combined with Scuderia Topolino forged pistons, it is now possible to reduce the total weight of a rod/piston to approximately 450 grams.  Ti-Tuff^©® rods come equipped with ARP "L-19" rod bolts.  L19 is a proprietary ARP material capable of  strengths of 220,000/230,000 PSI.

Scuderia Topolino Ti-Tuff^©® Rods receive special processing, including Isotropic Superfinishing and Diamond Ceramic (DLC) Coating.  These treatments have been specially developed by the originator of DLC treatments, Bakaert-Sorevi, fat their facility in Raleigh NC. 

Ti-Tuff^©®rods can be manufactured to order, in 110mm and 117mm lengths, in 6 weeks.  Price for a complete set (4 rods) with L19 bolts, is USD$3650  ( €2518 ).
