Details: This interesting vehicle was first imported by Mr. John Norwood and later sold to Mr. Paul Layman. Mr. Norwood was long associated with Team Cunningham and this vehicle was races at both Nassau and Sebring as well as many other venues. The car is equipped with the proper AH block, 982cc Bialbero engine with twin DCOE carburetors. The motor features the correct ABA229A crankshaft and Abarth I-beam connecting rods. The engine is currently out of the car. Further the car is equipped with a Monza 5-speed gearbox and the correct Girling 3-piston caliper brakes. Car has the correct Campagnolo wheels. Suspension is 100% correct for the period. The interior shows remarkably well, given the years of racing. It is 100% original with correct instrumentation, seats etc. All glass is in good condition and the doors are equipped with sliding plexiglass windows as was the custom for Abarth racing vehicles. The vehicle is equipped with a 70 litre long range tank, as well as a factory fitted front radiator with the correct ductwork. The Beccaris coachwork is overall in good condition, with some minor work required on the sills. The left-rear quarter panel shows some minor body damage but this is not extensive. The car has been in dry storage for 40 years, and is a unique time capsule, with good provenance and racing history. Scuderia Topolino lists this vehicle for the owner.
